As a public company CEO, I'm pro tokenization of our stock for a simple reason: I want more people to own it. Why would I alienate a potential new category of shareholders? It's just bad business. Meet the customer where they are.
New prompt suffix I’ve been liking lately: “Be thorough in your analysis and bold in your recommendations”
Kinda want to get drunk and vibe code until 5am tonight
Earlier this week Tristan published his top YouTube channels: thume.ca/2026/11/01/you… Which looked excellent so clearly I had to turn it into TristanTube: karpathy.ai/tristan-tube/ 47K super nerdy videos +TV mode for laid back watching. (One-shotted with Claude Code in 3 minutes)
Omarchy is up and running on the @anduriltech BlueChip!! All our work on @Snapdragon compatibility is paying off. This thing is awesome, @PalmerLuckey! We are going to make it a superb Omarchy machine 🦅🫡
Design the Muse app that’s perfect for you. Build spaces for whatever you want, pick what lives in your tabs, and even set when they show up. Here are a few we’ve made so far ↓
Playing around with spaces in Muse lately -- tell Muse what you need and it builds it. I've made a BBQ game, an event tracker, and a home control dashboard. Excited to see what you build.
I will publish my full list of 10,000+ blocked AI spammer accounts soon so everyone can block them easily tooo If you write AI replies under my tweets you will now permanently destroy your X account Because you'll very quickly end up in a public data set of AI spammers that people will use to block them Better turn those AI reply bots off today
What do I have to do to get PS5 Pro? I have been trying to buy one for 2 weeks. Not a single place has had it in stock. I specifically quit my job so I could play GTA6.
wtffff we're VECTORIZING now😭 this is not AI slop, it's literally just letting you edit layer by layer with human taste but with super human control I remember the first time I bought After Effects was in order to mask out subjects with the rotobrush, it was PAINFUL work and took crazy processing time. No one has to do that anymore GG adobe, we have higgsfield miracle, I respect this so much and I can barely handle how much this unlocks
so far this is working great. i tried this in the past and it wasn't as great. some details - we have long running sessions per project - opus is told to do all work in deepseek subagents - be strict about scope when creating a task - ask for proof of work instead of a summary - do a one step review of the diff to make sure it's not totally off opus is amazing at this role
The only repeated redirecting prompt I typically type or dictate from here is "could this be simpler?". Yields improvements every time. Seems like it should be part of the model system prompt by now.
New on our Science Blog: How AI is beginning to change scientific modeling. Scientific models help researchers explain and predict real-world systems—like how a single nerve cell fires, or what happens when neutron stars collide. Recent advances have transformed how scientists fit complex models to data. But scientists still typically write the models manually, and usually need to weigh up several competing versions, each of which might explain the data in a different way. In a guest post, Jakob Macke, Daniel Gedon, and Stefan Wahl describe how AI is starting to help with these parts of the process. By writing, running, fitting, and revising scientific models as code, AI can explore many possible model structures, and find out which explanations the data support. anthropic.com/research/teach…
we have a winner for the most absurd AI startup ever this Peter Thiel backed company uses AI robots to stab fish in the brain so they taste better and last up to 3x longer it's called Shinkei and it modernizes a centuries-old Japanese technique dozens of Michelin-star restaurants are already lining up to buy the fish here's how it works: > the problem is when a fish gets caught, it usually just suffocates on the boat > that stress floods the meat with hormones and lactic acid, which hurts the flavor and texture > the old Japanese fix for this was spiking the fish through the brain right after the catch, which stops all that > but doing it by hand is impractical for most American fishing crews > so Shinkei built a fridge-sized robot that sits right on the boat's deck > the crew feeds in a fish and AI identifies the exact species, so it knows exactly where the brain and gills are > the robot then drives the spike through the brain and cuts near the gills in about 7 seconds >…
"Most hardware engineering is actually software engineering in disguise."
A new way to measure how AI agents handle the routine analyses of wet-lab science—BioBasicsBench. Developed with Ligo, a biotech company focused on enzyme design, the benchmark draws on 100 tasks from real experiments to test whether agents can interpret raw lab data, identify errors, and recognize when the evidence doesn’t support a conclusion. Accelerating biological research starts with getting the everyday work right. BioBasicsBench shows where models need to improve, and helps us track what those gains mean for scientific progress, biosafety, and biosecurity. openai.com/index/measurin…
Timeless career advice:
This is a conspiracy theory but I'm like 95% sure I'm right. Reasoning traces for Opus 5.5 read like a shitty quantized open weight model then SOMEHOW the right answer comes out in the end.
Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values. Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line. After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs. The values in an open model are one fine-tune away. Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete
Memory is what allows Claude to learn from experience. In a new Engineering Blog post, we share how “dreaming” helps Claude organize what it’s learned, correct its mistakes, and find what it needs more easily the next time. anthropic.com/research/compo…
rich personal websites possibly with your first & last name domain or even with an identity like signull will matter a lot more because when personal agents browse the internet for a variety of use cases, that context will be highly ranked. first & last name domains + a rich website will be the new facebook profile. imagine a match maker agent finding you because you’re single, or a job search agent because you’re looking for a gig, or an agent that finds you ppl to play tennis with, etc. discoverability for agents will be huge & networks like insta & linkedin will have not have huge incentives to open this up for other agents than their own, so it’ll matter again a lot more.
How is there STILL no model drops 😭
SITUATION DETECTED: Delaware is drafting a proposal for a new form of corporate entity called an Artificial Intelligence Company (AIC). An AI managing an AIC would be able to provide services, sign contracts, hold property, and even file or defend lawsuits in the company’s name.
hot take: you don't need a software factory, and i don't love the term. it's just marketing all you need is good software engineering and investing your tokens in the right places. the more deterministic the better (and token efficient)
